Private piano lessons are offered weekly in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions.
Each new student begins with a complimentary evaluation lesson to assess musical level and ensure a good fit between student and teacher.
Monthly tuition is as follows:
30 minutes: $35 per lesson
45 minutes: $50 per lesson
60 minutes: $65 per lesson
Tuition is billed monthly and must be paid at the beginning of each month. Monthly tuition is calculated based on four or five scheduled lessons for that month.
Payment may be made by cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo.
A $10 late fee will be applied if payment is not received by the 10th of the month.
Invoices may be emailed at the beginning of each month upon request.
Lessons are held weekly throughout the year, with scheduled breaks including:
Two weeks during the Christmas season
One week during public-school spring break (when applicable)
Two to three weeks during the summer
Most federal holidays
Before the start of each semester (Spring, Summer, and Fall), families will receive an email outlining:
All lesson break dates
Recital dates and times
Additional studio events and announcements
Ann Piano Studio hosts at least two recitals each year (Spring and Fall), providing students with valuable performance experience.
Additional performance opportunities, festivals, and competitions may be available for interested students. Please contact Mrs. Ann for details.
Participation in the American College of Musicians Piano Guild Examination Program is offered each spring. This program is optional but highly encouraged.
Beginner students use the “Piano Adventures” series by Faber.
Placement and appropriate levels will be determined during the first lesson.
For intermediate and advanced students, repertoire and method books will be selected based on the student’s prior experience and skill level.
Mrs. Ann is happy to purchase books for families upon request. The cost will be added to that month’s tuition.
Each student must also have a lesson notebook to record assignments and practice goals.
Students transferring from another teacher should bring all current books and be prepared to play a few previously learned pieces.
At each lesson, specific practice goals will be set for every piece.
Students are expected to come prepared, having completed at least 80% of their assigned goals.
Consistent practice is essential for progress and success.
Lessons are reserved specifically for each student, so missed lessons are discouraged.
If a scheduling conflict arises, families must notify Mrs. Ann at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a make-up lesson.
Lessons missed without 24-hour notice are not eligible for a make-up or refund.
Make-up lessons will be provided when:
An emergency prevents the student from attending, or
The teacher cancels a lesson not previously listed on the semester calendar.
If you need to discontinue lessons, please notify Mrs. Ann before the start of the upcoming month.
The studio reserves the right to discontinue lessons for any student who does not follow studio policies or meet practice and attendance expectations.
